Zheti Oguz Canyon

Zheti-Oguz Canyon is one of the most famous natural landmarks in Kyrgyzstan. The canyon is known for its dramatic red sandstone cliffs, green alpine valleys, and beautiful mountain scenery.

Located south of Issyk-Kul Lake, Zheti-Oguz is a popular destination for travelers who want to explore nature, go hiking, and see one of the most iconic landscapes in the country.

The name “Zheti-Oguz” means “Seven Bulls” in Kyrgyz, referring to the distinctive red rock formations that resemble seven giant bulls standing side by side.
