
Song-Kol Lake is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in Kyrgyzstan and a true symbol of traditional nomadic life. Located high in the mountains at an altitude of about 3,016 meters (9,895 ft), the lake is surrounded by vast summer pastures where Kyrgyz nomads bring their livestock during the warm months.

Horse riding is the most popular activity around the lake. Visitors can ride through the jailoo and explore the surrounding mountains.
