Day 1: Shavat Border – Kunya-Urgench – Dashoguz
Meet the guide at Dshoguz (Shavat) border and assist with border formalities.
The meeting time (with guide) depends on what time you cross the border
Drive to Kunya-Urgench province (UNESCO World Heritage Site) historical reserve. (1,5 hours by car)
Sightseeing:
Kutlug Timur Minaret – the tallest minaret in Central Asia.
Turabek-Khanym Mausoleum – famous for its unique turquoise dome.
Mausoleums of Najmuddin Kubra and Sultan Tekesh.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Continue to Darvaza – Gas Crater, which is a huge flaming crater located 270 km (4-5 hours).
In the evening, enjoy the spectacular and fascinating view of the Gas Crater. In order to truly enjoy this end of the world, it is best to arrive at the Gate at the sunset. Arrive at Darvaza Gas Crater in the evening – known as the “Door to Hell”.
Watch the stunning flames at sunset and after dark.
Dinner cooked over fire at desert camp.
Overnight stay in traditional yurts near the crater.
Day 2: Dashoguz – Ashgabat
Breakfast at the camp.
Departure from the camp to Ashgabat city (4 hours by car).
Arrival in Ashgabat. Transfer to hotel, check in and short rest.
Drive 18 km west to Old Nissa, ancient Parthian capital and UNESCO site.
Temple of Atasarya – center of religious life in the Parthian era.
Royal Mausoleums – tombs of Parthian kings.
City walls and fortifications – ancient defensive architecture.
Visit the museum on site with Parthian artifacts.

Day 3: Ashgabat – Mary/Merv – Farap Border (exit)
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Mary city by car (3 hours).
Short city tour of Mary city: Central Park, local bazaar.
Excursion to Ancient Merv (UNESCO site) – one of the most important cities along the Silk
