Day 1. Bishkek city – Kyzyl-Oi Village. 200km. 4-5h drive

Morning departure from Bishkek. The journey will take us through the Too-Ashuu mountain pass at an altitude of 3100m. The road is very scenic, so there will be several photo stops. Next, we’ll descend into the Suusamyr Valley for lunch by the Suusamyr River – lunch boxes will be provided. After lunch, we’ll arrive at the Kyzyl-Oi guest house, where you can either stroll through the canyon or relax by the Kokomeren River. Dinner and overnight stay at the guest house.

 

Day 2. Kyzyl-Oi village – Son-Kul Lake. 180km. 5h drive

Breakfast, get ready for another day. We’ll have a coffee break by the river en route. Then we move on to the Kyzyl-Korgon gorge for a walk among the red-yellow canyons and a picnic with one of the lake views. After lunch, we’ll ascend to Son-Kul Lake via a 3400m high pass. Dinner and overnight stay in a yurt camp. On clear nights, you can observe billions of stars and even do some night sky photography.

 

Day 3. Son-Kul Lake – Tash-Rabat Caravanserai. 250km. 5h drive

Breakfast in the yurt camp, followed by a drive through the Moldo-Ashuu pass, stop for a photo at the panorama. Drive down into the Ak-Tala valley, where we will see a longest river of the country named Naryn River. We’ll have lunch in the village of Baetovo, then ascend the scenic MELS pass 3400m, descending into the At-Bashi valley. We’ll visit the Tash-Rabat Caravanserai, a 10-11th-century stop for traders on the Great Silk Road (a branch connecting East and West). We will have dinner and an overnight stay in another yurt camp.

 

Day 4. Tash-Rabat – Kel-Suu – Naryn. 330km.

Early morning departure, passports required as we head towards the Kyrgyzstan-China border area to visit the beautiful Kel-Suu Lake. Upon arrival, you can either walk or ride horses (7km one way) to the lake, nestled among cliffs at an altitude of 3500m above sea level. Lunch at a local yurt camp, then return to Naryn for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 5. Naryn – Kaji-Say. 250km. 5h drive

After breakfast, we depart leisurely for the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. In the morning, there’s also an option to visit the local bazaar in Naryn. Upon arrival in Kochkor, we’ll get acquainted with nomadic culture and traditions, learning how nomads make felt products. We’ll have lunch with this family and continue our journey. Optionally, we can visit a yurt-making workshop in Kyzyl-Tuu village. Alternatively, spend the afternoon by Lake Issyk-Kul. Arrival at the guest house in Kaji-Say, dinner will be accompanied with Kyrgyz Folk Music, overnight in guesthouse.

 

Day 6. Kaji-Say – Karakol. 200km. 4h drive

In the morning after breakfast, we’ll walk through the “Fairy Tale” canyon, which feels like being on another planet. Next, we visit the Barskoon gorge for a light one-hour hike to see two waterfalls. Picnic lunch in nature. Optionally, ascend the high-mountain plateau Ara-Bel (3900m above sea level) to see some 5000m peaks and glaciers. Before arriving in Karakol, we’ll visit the Jeti-Oguz gorge, known as ‘Seven Bulls’, and hear its story. Evening arrival in Karakol, dinner at a local café, and overnight stay in a hotel.

 

Day 7. Karakol – Altyn Arashan 30km 2h drive

In the morning after breakfast transfer to Altyn arashan by Russian car Bukhanka 2 hours. arrival to Altyn Arashan lunch and you can get a natural hot shower. you have opportunity to walking around the valley. Dinner overnight in a guesthouse. Here is Very beautiful scenery, view to always snow covered Palatka peak 5020m.

 

Day 8. Karakol – Chon-Kemin. 350km. 8h drive

After breakfast, some free time. We’ll visit local attractions – Petroglyphs (ancient rock carvings), and the spiritual and cultural center Ruh-Ordo (optional). Arrival at the Chon-Kemin gorge, lunch at a guest house. Post-lunch activities include horse riding and hiking. Before dinner, we’ll have a cooking master class. Dinner and overnight stay at the guest house.

 

Day 9. Chon-Kemin – Bishkek. 170km. 2.5 h drive

After breakfast, departure. En route, we’ll visit the archeological and architectural museum complex “Burana” 10-11 century. Arrival and lunch in Bishkek. Check-in in hotel. Afternoon explore city and local market. Farewell dinner in local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
